SSMT may be used to load a single data category. Many tasks that are included in the Pre-Configuration or Clinical Content Starter sets may be loaded as a single category. This scenario may also apply if moving a single data category from a customer’s Test to Live environment.

Loading

Follow the below steps to load a single SSMT data category:

  1. Open Internet Explorer to login to SSMT
  2. Go to URL “http://server/touchworks/imps/ssmt/ssmt.asp”
  3. Enter Clinical DB Server (target system where data is being LOADED)
  4. Validate Clinical DB (typically this should be Works)
  5. Validate Clinical DB User
  6. Enter Clinical DB Password
    1. The data should be the same for the Framework (FW) information unless the customer has a separate Framework database server setup. Verify with Technical Options if in doubt how your customer is configured
  7. Click on Login
  8. Select the desired Content Category
  9. Copy data from the corresponding SSMT Excel spreadsheet and paste into the SSMT window
  10. Carefully verify that the Content Category select matches your intended load and that the Clinical DB: listed at the top of the window IS your target system
  11. Under the SSMT single file Transfer section, Click on “Load Data”
  12. If the load is completely successful, the window will empty of all loaded contents
  13. If there are errors in the load, content will remain with an associated error message
    1. The source SSMT Excel spreadsheet data may need to be reviewed for formatting accuracy to resolve the error. Most of the errors are specific enough to figure out how to resolved them. Fix the associated error and try reloading. If it still does not work, you may need to contact your Technical Operations team member for assistance
    2. Exception: The only load that does not follow the above error logic is the Order Insurance Performing Locations load – this load leaves the data content in the window after loading
  14. Once the data has been successfully loaded, it is recommended that you login to the appropriate part of the application to test and verify the data loaded as expected
    1. Example: If you loaded Menus, login to TWAdmin/Admin/Menus to find the menus loaded and validated they are as expected

Extracting

SSMT extractions are not required if executing the Pre-Configuration or Clinical Content Starter Set Checklist. All source SSMT data spreadsheets are located within the Excel Checklist. However, there may be instances where single data extracts need to be done for the customer when working in building Test items or moving data from Test to Live.

Follow the below steps to extract a single SSMT data category:

  1. Open Internet Explorer to login to SSMT
  2. Go to URL “http://server/touchworks/imps/ssmt/ssmt.asp”
  3. Enter Clinical DB Server (source system where data is being extracted FROM)
  4. Validate Clinical DB (typically this should be Works)
  5. Validate Clinical DB User
  6. Enter Clinical DB Password
    1. The data should be the same for the Framework (FW) information unless the customer has a separate Framework database server setup. Verify with Technical Options if in doubt how your customer is configured.
  7. Click on Login
  8. Select the desired Content Category
  9. Under the SSMT single file Transfer section, Click on “Extract Data”
  10. If the proper headings have not been copied first, highlight, right-click and copy the associated HEADERS listed at the bottom of the screen into your Excel spreadsheet
  11. Once the Headers have been copied and pasted, then copy the entire contents within the SSMT window where the extracted data was returned.
    1. Tip: Use Ctrl-A to select all contents at once. Right-click and select copy
  12. Paste into the prepared Excel spreadsheet
