When creating a new Rx within TouchWorks after selecting the days, quantity and refills the provider can select the expected action.


Those actions include:

  • Complete - which automatically removes the medication from the current meds list when the Rx is complete.
  • Evaluate - which creates a reminder on the HMP and creates a task. These tasks are system generated tasks and can be configured to be directed to the nursing staff.
  • Renew - this appears on the HMP with the evaluation date.
