The box does not actually disappear, it just goes behind the main window because by clicking on another note in the list the user is making the main window the active window which brings it to the front. In v10, Chart Viewer displayed notes like the preview option in MS Outlook. User could click a note on the left side of the screen and on the right side they would see the contents of the note.
In v11, the user clicks on an note in the chart and a new window opens to display the contents of the note. When the user clicks another note in the chart, the “note/document viewer” box seems to disappear.
The box does not actually disappear, it just goes behind the main window because by clicking on another note in the list the user is making the main window the active window which brings it to the front. If you go ahead and right click > View or double-click the note in the list it should bring the viewer back to the front as it opens the note. Here is the click by click work-flow:
- Double click a note in chart viewer. (the viewer window opens and displays the note)
- Move the viewer window so that you can still see the list of notes in the Chart-Viewer.
- Right click - View or double-click a different note in chart viewer. (the viewer window displays the new note)
This work-flow allows the user to "jump around" in the Chart rather than previewing every note.
To view the notes in order, use the green “next” or “previous” buttons in the Chart Viewer.
