The Results Concept Dictionary (RCD) is an Allscripts list of common resultables returned on lab restults.  This would be a list of items such as White Blood Count (WBC), Hemoglobin, or Platelets.  When you load you lab vendors resultables and tie them to the RCD, it allows the system to interrupt them as the same items.  This is especially useful when you have multiple vendors as it will allow you to flow the same result from multiple vendors on the same line.

Description

The Results Concept Dictionary (RCD) is an Allscripts list of common resultables returned on lab restults. This would be a list of items such as White Blood Count (WBC), Hemoglobin, or Platelets. When you load you lab vendors resultables and tie them to the RCD, it allows the system to interrupt them as the same items. This is especially useful when you have multiple vendors as it will allow you to flow the same result from multiple vendors on the same line.
