There are different algorithm that determine whether or not copy forward will work once a change has been made to a noteform. Per AHS (2/11/15), "Changing one control should not ruin copy forward for every other control." The copy forward functionality will NOT work if the change that has been made actually changes the clinical meaning of the control. If tab order has changed, then copy forward should still work. If the spelling has changed (either on the display or the render text) then copy forward wont work. There are other factors that are dependent upon the release of EHR being used.
