In some instances, after building new menu items, an administrator is unable to view those menu items in the Admin workspace. However, when the administrator pulls an extract from SSMT they see that the menu item does exist in the database.

The reason for this is that the ‘IIS’ and ‘AhsVoe’ services need to be stopped and restarted on the Web server. If an administrator encounters this issue and does not cycle these services the menus will most likely show up the next day as the ‘IIS’ and ‘AhsVoe’ services are set to automatically cycle on their own during the night.

Please contact your organization’s technical administrator or your Allscripts technical analyst to cycle these services. Once these services have been cycled the menu items will appear in the Admin workspace.
