This can happen for a number of reasons.  It might be that the medication is new to the market and hasn't yet been updated by Medispan.  Another possibility is that the medication is no longer for sale in the market and therefore has been inactivated in the OID within Touchworks.  When this happens, there may be circumstances where the medication is still being prescribed (e.g. given out in the clinic as samples) and a case can be made to have the medication temporarily reactivated in TW.  This can be done within the OID under the specific medication by entering a date in the "keep active until" field.  This will reactivate the medication until the specified date, at which time it will become inactive again.
