MAR - Medication Administration Record
Often used in a nursing home, hospital or prison, a Medication Administration Record allows you to schedule the times when a medicine should be given and then track when the medication is given. Typically in the paper world, the Medication Administration Record is a big notebook or 3-ring binder the nurse takes around the facility with them.
Rx Number – prescription number that shows on printed scripts NDC – National Drug Code GPI – Generic Product Identifier
Most clients won’t use MAR. It’s only applicable when the administration of medications occur in the clinic and they need to be tracked.
