LMRP stands for Local Medicare Review Policy
LMRPs outline how local carriers review claims to ensure they meet Medicare coding and coverage guidelines. They determine whether a claim is covered or coded correctly. Designed to outline which diagnosis codes are covered for which visit or procedure codes billed.
