Galen is excited that you're coming to Atlanta for #ERUG15! Our Consultants have traveled the country, and they have put together some of their favorite things to do and see in and around Atlanta. At Galen, we strongly believe in sharing our success and giving back to our community. One of our driving tenets is “Perpetually Learn and Share”. Furthermore, we foster a collaborative environment where this experience and knowledge is communicated to the entire team. This has been instrumental to our success and ensures that, when working with a Galen team member, our partners gain full access to the resources that define our organization. Please check out the rest of our Wiki by starting at the Main Page and visit us at our ERUG booth.

Places to See

The World of Coca-Cola - If pop culture is your thing, or the culture of pop anyway, you won’t want to miss the World of Coca Cola, a whole museum dedicated to the history of the soda and a tribute to the power of brand marketing. ProTip: Purchase your tickets online or on your mobile device to skip the ticketing line when you arrive. https://www.worldofcoca-cola.com/

Senoia, GA – If Zombies are more your cup of tea, then it is worth making the 40 minute trip from Atlanta to Senoia, GA to visit one of the filming locations for ‘’’the walking dead.’’’ Senoia is the set for the fictitious town of Woodbury. This blog has a couple tips and tricks for a side trip to Senoia. http://edibletapestry.com/the-walking-dead-self-guided-film-location-tour-with-some-good-rib-gnawing-in-woodbury/

The Georgia Aquarium – is in the heart of downtown Atlanta and offers a discounted rate for admission after 5pm on weeknights. Be sure to buy your ticket online in advance eto get the special price. https://www.georgiaaquarium.org/experience

Good Eats

The Varsity claims to be the world’s largest drive-in restaurant and has been in operation since 1928. The World's Largest Drive-in sits on more than two acres and can accommodate 600 cars and over eight hundred people inside. On days of Georgia Tech football games up to 30,000 people visit The Varsity. It sells more than two miles of hotdogs daily, a ton of onion rings, 2500 pounds of fresh cut potatoes, 5000 homemade fried pies, and 300 gallons of chili, all of which are made from scratch daily. The downtown Varsity is also the world's largest single outlet for Coca-Cola. http://www.thevarsity.com/index.php

The Sun Dial Restaurant - For a complete view of the Atlanta Skyline and a dinner a little on the fancier side – make reservations at the Sun Dial. This restaurant is on the top floors of the Westin Peachtree Plaza and features floor to ceiling windows to take in the view, as well as making one full rotation every hour, so as not to get dizzy, but to slowly take in the entire skyline as you eat. http://www.sundialrestaurant.com/about/

Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q – Can you really come to the south and not get some BBQ? That just wouldn’t be right. One of our consultants especially recommends the Fox-A-Roni for a side. http://www.foxbrosbbq.com/fox-bros-atlanta-bbq-menu.html

South City Kitchen - This listing comes at the reccomendation from @JenHIStalk with the comment that they have the best Shrimp & Grits in town. My mouth is watering already... http://midtown.southcitykitchen.com/
