Definition
To dictate is to speak aloud and/or record with the intention of another transcribing the information into a medical note in a patient's chart.
Description
The Allscripts Dictate module provides features and advantages that allow the physician to complete dictations on patients without needing to be near a phone. Dictate module has the ability to send digital dictation files to remote transcriptionists, more than 3 hours of recording time, custom templates, custom reports, Sheduling/Practice Management system interface, and hold dictation.[1]
