Summary
Fat-Client remote scanning is a process used when a client has a remote site and does not have appropriate bandwidth for normal scanning.
This process enables the practice to still scan as normal, but schedule the documents to be delivered to the server at a later time.
This is sometimes known as HDR or RDS, the names of the Windows services responsible for transferring the scans.
- HDR: Host Document Receive (server-side Windows service)
- RDS: Remote Document Send (workstation-side Windows service)
